Max Dinnerware
Designed by Lella and Massimo Vignelli, the Max Dinnerware Collection is a modern design classic celebrated for its clean geometry, vibrant colors, and ingenious stackability. Each piece fits neatly into the next, creating tall, efficient columns that maximize storage space while maintaining a crisp, organized cabinet.
Heller founder Alan Heller first encountered the Vignellis’ compact stacking dishware in a museum in the late 1960s. After learning that the original manufacturer had closed, he sought out the designers to bring the collection back into production—launching what would become Heller’s very first product and the beginning of a long-standing collaboration with the Vignellis.
Upon its debut in 1964, the collection was awarded the prestigious Compasso d’Oro for industrial design. A subtle lip on the underside of each piece allows the dinnerware to stack securely while lifting it slightly off the table, creating the elegant illusion that it’s hovering. More than half a century later, Max remains a beloved example of timeless design that balances beauty, efficiency, and everyday usability.
- Stackable, space-saving design
- Indoor/outdoor use
- FDA safe and BPA- and BPS-free
- 1-year warranty (terms and conditions apply)
